Position Title: Store Manager

Role Overview:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a chocolate and sweets retail store. This includes managing the sales team, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and meeting sales and profitability targets. The role requires expertise in managing luxury products, particularly chocolates and sweets, and delivering a memorable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:1. Store Operations Management:
• Ensure the store operates efficiently and aligns with company standards and policies.
• Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the store and displays to enhance customer appeal.
• Implement and enforce SOPs for retail operations, including opening and closing procedures.
2. Sales and Profitability:
• Achieve sales targets and profitability goals by driving revenue and controlling costs.
• Analyze sales data and develop strategies to maximize sales and minimize losses.
• Identify market trends and customer preferences to recommend product adjustments or promotions.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
• Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Assign roles and responsibilities to staff and create work schedules to optimize store coverage.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans.
4. Customer Service Excellence:
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
• Train staff on product knowledge, including the unique features and quality of chocolates and sweets.
5. Inventory and Stock Management:
• Oversee inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels of chocolate and sweets products.
• Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and minimize stockouts.
6. Marketing and Visual Merchandising:
• Implement marketing campaigns and in-store promotions to drive customer traffic and sales.
• Ensure that displays and merchandising align with the brand's luxury image and standards.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to execute seasonal and event-based themes.
7. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in line with local regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation, including daily reports, sales records, and safety logs.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures for staff and customers.
8. Reporting and Communication:
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on store performance to the Area/Operations Manager.
• Communicate company updates, promotions, and policies to the store team.
• Address operational challenges and provide recommendations to improve efficiency.
Key Qualifications:Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail management, ideally within the chocolate, sweets, or luxury goods industry.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical skills for sales and inventory data interpretation.
• Proficiency in retail management systems and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Other Requirements:
• Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Arabic) are an advantage.
Work Environment:
• Retail store setting with a focus on providing a luxury shopping experience.
• Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of stock items.
