Job Description

A highly skilled Stone Specialist Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in the stone industry. This critical role demands deep expertise in quality control, material testing, and overseeing the inspection and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong leadership abilities, capable of managing cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

Material & Process Expertise:

Oversee material selection in quarry and processing it in factory, ensuring that all materials meet

project requirements, by analysing the stone choices, technical characteristics and suitability for

its purpose, availability of the stone in the quarry,

Provide expert guidance on material properties and its characteristic, production methods, and

manufacturing techniques.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams in quarry and factory to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.

Engineering & Technical Documentation:

Reviewing material submittals, method of statements, drawings and testing plans as per project requirements

Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, inspection records, and test results.

Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with industry standards for future reference and audits.

Quality Control:

Lead and manage the quality control process for stone products, ensuring all deliverables meet

industry standards and project specifications.

Oversee the Quality control process for stone selection, starting from the quarry site before getting shipped from source till installation, in addition to reviewing dry layout inspections in factories.

Oversee the Quality control during installation, to ensure that the workmanship quality provided is aligned with the project's requirements.

Conduct comprehensive inspections, material testing, and performance evaluations on both raw and finished stone products.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to production schedules.

Identify process inefficiencies and propose actionable solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

A minimum of 10-15 years of hands-on experience in the stone industry, with a strong focus on

engineering, quality control, and material testing.

A degree or certification in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of industry standards, material sourcing, and stone manufacturing

processes (e.g., cutting, polishing, and finishing techniques).

Technical & personal Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, tracking data, and

coordinating project activities.

Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively

with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
