Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Steward to join our team at MADO Restaurant. The Steward plays a crucial role in supporting our kitchen and service teams by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency. This position is vital to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both our staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and dining areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies, including food storage and cleaning products.
• Ensure that all kitchen and dining areas are kept tidy and free of clutter throughout the shift.
• Support the kitchen team by maintaining clean and orderly food preparation areas.
• Transport clean dishes, glasses, and utensils to the appropriate areas for service.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen and dining spaces for daily service.
• Properly dispose of waste and ensure recycling practices are followed.
• Help with inventory control by notifying the supervisor of stock shortages or damaged items.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide assistance to the service team during busy times, as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying dishes.
