We are looking for a Steel Fixer.

A

steel fixer

(also known as a

reinforcing steel worker

or

rebar worker

) is a construction professional responsible for installing and fixing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) that provide strength and stability to concrete structures. Steel fixers play a crucial role in ensuring that concrete elements such as foundations, walls, and beams are properly reinforced to support the weight and stresses they will endure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Reading and Interpreting Blueprints and Plans:

Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to understand the design specifications for reinforcement. Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the correct installation of steel reinforcement.

Measuring and Cutting Steel Bars:

Measure and cut steel bars to the specified lengths using tools such as saws, cutting machines, and shears. Ensure the steel bars are cut precisely to the right size for each part of the construction project. Use bending machines or hand tools to bend and shape steel reinforcement bars to meet the design requirements. Ensure that the reinforcement is positioned accurately according to the structural plan.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience and must be able to speak english.
