Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Steel Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components according to blueprints and specifications. As a Steel Fabricator, you will work with a variety of steel materials, using tools such as saws, drills, and welding equipment to create and assemble structural steel components for construction or manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Cut, shape, and assemble steel components (such as beams, columns, and frames) based on blueprints or technical drawings.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine the exact specifications for each project.

Select and prepare raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards, and load/unload materials as needed.

Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and completeness, ensuring they meet safety and industry standards.

Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing the required safety equipment and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Work with engineers, project managers, and other fabricators to meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Ensure that all fabrication tools, machines, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a steel fabricator or in a similar fabrication role.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Strong knowledge of welding techniques, cutting, and assembly processes.

Experience with fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., shears, presses, drills, welding machines).

Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.

Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Strong attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.

Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials or work in physically demanding conditions.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in welding, fabrication, or related fields.

Previous experience with large-scale construction or manufacturing projects.

Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and assembly.

Familiarity with CNC machinery and automated fabrication processes.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with possible overtime or weekend shifts.

Work primarily in a fabrication shop or on construction sites.

Physical work environment with exposure to welding fumes, heat, and noise.

Standing, bending, lifting, and using heavy machinery for long periods may be required.
