Our team specializes in creating custom steel structures for a wide range of industries. We are looking to hire a Steel Estimation Engineer who is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication and construction projects, ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications and timelines.

Job Overview

The Steel Estimation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring efficient communication and coordination between clients and the Jahsteel team. The role will involve managing schedules, handling client inquiries, and providing key support to ensure projects run smoothly and are delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates for steel materials and fabrication.
• Utilize estimation software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in bid preparation.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and engineers to gather project details and clarify scope.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements.
• Maintain an organized database of material costs, labor rates, and historical project estimates for reference.
• Update and refine cost estimation processes and methodologies.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
• Analyze and respond to requests for information (RFIs) and proposals (RFPs).
• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capabilities to ensure accurate estimations.
• Develop relationships with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing information.
• Provide detailed reports on estimates, including breakdowns of costs, labor, and timelines.
• Assist in the review and analysis of project budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience : Proven experience in steel estimation, fabrication, or a related field (4-5 years preferred)

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle client relationships professionally.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with project management tools is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
