Job Description

We are looking to hire a Steel Design Engineer.

The successful candidate should have the following:

• Civil Engineering Degree

• Capable of leading Structural/Mechanical or multi-disciplinary team on large projects.

-Excellent communication skills are essential

-Written and oral communication along with technical expert in a particular area of interest is required.

-Having some contractual knowledge

-Previous experience with steel poles, lattice tower general steel structures, foundation design and transmission line.

-Strong skills in Analysis of structures, ability to perform detailed calculations is required.

-Having strong command on checking the detailed drawing ( shop drawings ).

- Deflection calculations for poles/high masts/towers

-Fatigue calculations of poles.

-Impact test calculations for any structure in case of vehicle hits/crash with the structure at certain level/height

-Base plate, stiffeners, anchor bolts design/calculations according to international standards.

-Familiar with welding & fabrication standard incorporation of designing the poles, high masts, towers, steel structures

- Knowledge of using any simulation software for design/calculations

- Ability to Develop the design of different poles, high masts, towers and steel structures based on different design criteria provided by different clients in accordance with relevant international standards

-Ability to Develop the design of HVTL towers & monopoles.

- Drawings, BOM, compliance statements, comparison sheets, design adequacy reports, documents' presentations, technical meetings with consultants/clients, minutes of meetings/reports.

-Having steel fabrication experience.

-Deep knowledge in structural design code AISC ,AASHTO, ASCE, NESC, BS codes.

-Education: BS in Civil/Structural/ Mechanical Engineering.

-Experience: 3-5 years

-Programs : Staad pro, PLS CADD package, abacus or any similar FEA software.

-Types of Projects: Road construction / utility construction

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
