Job Description

Job Title: Station Operator Reports To: Operations Manager / Supervisor Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Job Summary:

The Station Operator is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a station (e.g., power plant, gas facility, transit station, or industrial site). This role involves monitoring equipment, maintaining operational safety, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:Operations and Monitoring:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain station equipment and systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal functionality of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels to assess performance and detect malfunctions.
• Record and log operational data accurately for reporting and analysis.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
• Identify and report faults or abnormalities in systems or equipment.
• Assist maintenance teams with repairs or troubleshooting when required.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and manage hazards, including environmental risks, leaks, or equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in safety drills and respond to emergencies as per established protocols.

Coordination and Communication:

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
• Provide status updates and escalate critical issues to management promptly.
• Assist in training new staff or junior operators, as required.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of station operations, maintenance activities, and incidents.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in station operations, equipment handling, or a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of station equipment, control systems, and operational protocols.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Certifications: (Optional) First aid, hazardous material handling, or relevant technical certifications.

Working Conditions:

• May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in varying environments (e.g., outdoor stations, confined spaces, or high-noise areas).
• May involve lifting, standing, or performing repetitive tasks.
