Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Starch Man to join our paper manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience in paper manufacturing and a strong understanding of starch preparation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cook the starch according to the specified size press recipe. Record total consumption of size press chemicals per shift. Maintain sufficient cooked starch levels to prevent shortages for the size press. Inform the shift leader, machine tender, or back tender to arrange for the supply of size press chemicals near the starch cooker. Utilize all necessary safety equipment when handling size press chemicals. Report any accidents occurring during the handling or usage of size press chemicals to the shift leader or relevant personnel. Notify the shift leader, machine tender, or back tender if any equipment related to starch preparation and delivery becomes inoperable. Communicate with the QC lab regarding starch quality and requirements. Add and prepare starch cooking utility chemicals as needed. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in the starch cooking area. Comply fully with the company's safety regulations during all starch cooking activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in paper manufacturing. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
