About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Stakeholder Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi, overseeing stakeholder engagement for large civil infrastructure projects. This critical role will involve managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government authorities, regulatory bodies, local communities, and project partners, to ensure smooth project delivery and successful outcomes.
As the Stakeholder Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies, addressing concerns, and ensuring all parties are aligned with the project's objectives. You will play a key role in facilitating communication, minimising disruptions, and ensuring that the project complies with local regulations and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder management plan, identifying all relevant stakeholders and outlining effective communication strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all external stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory agencies, local communities, and project partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate project approvals, permits, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Address stakeholder concerns, resolving potential conflicts and issues in a timely and professional manner to avoid delays or disruptions to the project.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure that stakeholder needs and requirements are incorporated into the project plan.
• Manage public consultations and engagement activities, ensuring transparency and fostering a positive relationship between the project and the wider community.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations to stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring expectations are met.
• Ensure that all stakeholder communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the project's goals and timelines.
• Monitor and assess the impact of stakeholder engagement activities, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure ongoing positive relationships.
• Support the project team in identifying and managing risks related to stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in stakeholder management or public relations, with at least 5 years in large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships in the Middle East, particularly within the civil engineering and construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks and experience working with government authorities in the UAE.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
