Duties and Responsibilities:


- Review overall project scope of SmartPlant/AVEVA Schematic tools (SPI, SPEL, AVEVA Electrical/Instrumentation) and work with the Disciplines/Project Leads on implementation.


- Administration activities of SmartPlant/AVEVA Schematic software like Installation, Database creation, Project Management Environment and Plants/Area/Unit hierarchy, User Creation, Access Control, Specification and library creation, Drawing and reports templates configuration, Integration with other SmartPlant Enterprise/AVEVA tools like SP3D/E3D, SPPID, SPF etc.,


- Installation and administration of Schematic databases in ORACLE/MS-SQL


- User creation and access control


- Create/Manage Plants/Area/Unit hierarchy


- Experience in the resolution of errors


- Create Specifications, catalogues and reports to suit company/client standards


- Customize seed data to meet project requirements.


- Set-up and manage work-sharing with other offices.


- Maintain daily backups.


- Guide end-users in day-to-day activities.


- Automate user tasks wherever possible


- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.


- Preparation of project specific procedures for Schematic Tools (Electrical, Instrumentation & P&ID)


- Support multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping deadlines and configuration of Global Workshare Environment


- Contribute to the development of and adherence to company best practices.






Skills Required Qualifications


- Degree in Engineering or equivalent


- Minimum 8 years' experience.


- Extensive knowledge in Schematic tools like SPI/SPEL and/or AVEVA Electrical/Instrumentation


- Exposure to other software like SPPID, Smart Plant Foundation, AVEVA P&ID/E3D/Engineering


- Exposure to integration between schematic and 3D tools


- Understanding of engineering workflow in an Oil & Gas EPC environment


- Strong computer background (working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, MS Access, Oracle, MS SQL)


- Good command of written and spoken English.


- Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
