DESIGNATION : Sr. Structural Engineer (BIM)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• a Bachelor's Degree holder in Civil Engineer
• with proven experience as a Structural Engineer
• with a minimum of 9 years of experience
• Knowledgeable in Revit/BIM and other relevant programs

PRIMARY ROLES:

• Developing design concepts and initial framing layouts for assigned projects
• Attend in the coordination meetings with Architectural engineers to identify the structural design requirements for each project.
• Coordinate with the design manager/department manager to assign each project's design team.
• Leading structural design, modeling, analysis, and calculations for assigned projects.
• Responsible for updating and reviewing the structural design checklist
• Coordinating drawings with cross-functional teams.
• Reviewing the final design drawings before issuing to the design manager.
• Provide value engineering technical expertise when applying structural engineering principles, techniques.
• Interprets or clarifies technical aspects of contract documents.
• Assist in identifying, responding to, or evaluate technical issues to maintain the schedule.
• Attends progress review meetings and co?ordination meetings to assist the Project.
• Following with the site Engineers in resolving any site issues such as discrepancies in project's drawings
• Ensure the successful delivery of construction projects with enhanced accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.
• Develop and manage 3D structural models using BIM software such as Revit and Tekla, ensuring accuracy and completeness with all necessary detailing and annotations.
• Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and other discipline models, facilitating clash detection and resolution for seamless integration of building systems.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Provide technical support and guidance on structural design and modeling best practices, staying updated with industry standards and conducting structural analysis as needed.
• Prepare and review construction documents, generate detailed reports on model progress, and maintain organized documentation of all project-related BIM files.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for BIM tasks, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and participating in project meetings.
• Implement and enforce BIM standards, conduct regular model reviews, and perform quality checks to identify and rectify errors.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians, promoting continuous learning and development within the team.
• Evaluate and recommend BIM software, oversee implementation and integration of new tools, and manage software licenses and updates.
• Incorporate sustainable design principles into structural models and explore innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
• Serve as the primary contact for BIM-related queries from clients and stakeholders, presenting BIM models and deliverables, and addressing client feedback to ensure satisfaction.
