Key Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, understanding their technical and business requirements, and providing tailored solutions. The role involves collaboration with internal teams, presenting technical solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• MBA or equivalent in Sales/Marketing (preferred).
Experience:
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong technical knowledge related to the industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and nurture client relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in CRM software and MS Office.
Other Requirements:
• Willingness to travel frequently as per business needs.
Sales and Business Development:
• Identify and target new business opportunities to expand the company's customer base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate the value and benefits of the company's products and services.
Technical Expertise:
• Understand customer requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to address customer needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies.
Proposal and Negotiation:
• Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and quotations.
• Work closely with the procurement team to determine optimal pricing strategies.
• Ensure timely submission of bids and follow up with clients to close deals.
Customer Support:
• Assist clients with technical queries and provide post-sales support.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth implementation and after-sales service.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
• Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market feedback.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Revenue generated against targets.
• New customer acquisition.
• Client retention rate.
• Timeliness and accuracy of proposals submitted.
