DESCRIPTIONOur vision is to protect customers from products that are illegal, unsafe or non-compliant. The Compliance and Safety team for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) Region is looking for a Sr. Risk Manager to manage our product and food safety policies to protect our customers from unsafe products.This role is responsible for creating and driving a roadmap of risk policies and controls across business, legal, compliance, operations, tech, and other cross-functional teams globally. This role owns program level metrics and ensures success by leading risk initaitives, prioritization discussions, and reporting.Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders locally and around the world, particularly teams focused on product and food safety and policy development
- Deep dive specific product safety and compliance related requirements (e.g. external regulatory and internal Amazon policy requirements) and make data-driven compliance solution towards customer safety
- Drive ingestion of compliance needs, design initiatives and partner with program teams to launch controls
- Identify and lead improvement projects, eliminating excess processes, driving efficiencies and creating predicable process controls and processes (including automated tools and systems) to support improving state of compliance, business expansion and program efficiency
- Design success metrics/goals, and report out on progress, obstacles, and path to resolution to cross-functional leadership
- Convert team knowledge into scalable standard operating procedures, establish swim lanes across a diversifying and quickly-changing organization, and reduce complex workflows to aligned RACIs and approval mechanismsA day in the life

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in Arabic and English: Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in both Arabic and English.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master\'s degree or equivalent
