Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all cost-related aspects of our high-rise building projects, from initial cost estimates to final account settlement. This role demands a strong understanding of construction methodologies, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all cost control activities throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
• Prepare and manage tender documentation, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgets.
• Prepare and submit valuations and payment applications.
• Manage variations and claims.
• Provide regular cost reports and updates to project management.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with demonstrable experience in high-rise building projects in Dubai.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with local regulations and practices in the UAE.
• RICS or equivalent professional membership is preferred.
