Project Engineer - Aluminum & Facade

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

Lead the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring that aluminum and glazing projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets, and manage project execution to ensure smooth progress.

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, subcontractors, and other project staff, ensuring effective collaboration and optimal resource allocation. Foster a positive work environment to maintain team motivation and ensure high performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Relations & Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure overall satisfaction. Build and sustain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, providing excellent customer service and project coordination.

Budget & Cost Control:

Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring financial control and implementing cost-saving measures where possible. Monitor project expenditures, forecast costs, and report on financial performance.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks related to cost, schedule, and quality, and implement mitigation plans to reduce project risks. Proactively resolve issues and make timely decisions to keep projects on track.

Site Management & Coordination:

Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring that work adheres to specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate activities among the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the project is executed according to plan.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds quality standards, including industry best practices, safety regulations, and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and address any quality-related concerns in a timely manner.

Contractor & Supplier Management:

Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection and material ordering. Ensure that suppliers deliver quality materials on time and in accordance with the project schedule.

Progress Reporting:

Prepare regular project status reports, including updates on progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones, and present these reports to senior management and clients. Maintain accurate documentation of all project activities.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure the safety of all personnel on-site. Implement health and safety protocols and maintain adherence to local building regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

,

Mechanical Engineering

,

Architecture

, or a related field. A Master's degree or

PMP certification

is highly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of

10+ years

in project management, with at least

8 years

in the

aluminum and glazing industry

. Extensive experience in managing large-scale projects from planning to completion.

Licenses & Certifications:

A

valid UAE driving license

is required, as the role involves frequent site visits and client interactions.

PMP certification

or any other relevant certification is a plus.

Project Management Expertise:

Deep understanding of project management principles, including

budgeting

,

scheduling

, and

risk management

. Strong experience managing

large-scale, complex projects

in the construction or aluminum/facade sectors.

Technical Knowledge:

Expertise in

aluminum and glazing systems

, construction methods, and material specifications. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

Revit

, or similar design and modeling software.

Leadership Skills:

Proven leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple disciplines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
