Job Title:

Project Engineer - Aluminum and Glazing

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Lead the design and engineering processes for aluminum and facade projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Conduct feasibility studies, including site assessments and material selection, to support project planning and execution. Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals related to aluminum and facade systems.

Project Execution:

Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Identify and mitigate engineering-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Collaboration:

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project coordinators, providing guidance on technical issues and project management best practices. Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and address concerns promptly. Lead project meetings to discuss progress, technical challenges, and solutions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure that all engineering work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Implement quality control processes and inspections to guarantee the integrity of materials and workmanship. Conduct site visits to monitor installation processes and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and reports. Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project progress and challenges. Collaborate with project managers in preparing project status reports for senior management.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of engineering experience in the aluminum, facade, or construction industry, with a strong focus on project execution.

Skills:

Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong understanding of facade systems, aluminum curtain walls, and glazing technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
