: Directs and participates in mechanical repair and overhaul activities at any of the companys offshore sites or in the workshop of a variety of mechanical equipment in his area of concern such as pumps of various types, compressors, gas turbines, valves, fan units, gear-boxes, HVAC, etc.
a.) Obtain work permits from his supervisor, review work assigned and arrange for the necessary transport, material, tools and equipment to complete the task.
b.) Allocate work to assigned technicians, participate in the work as necessary and in the diagnosis of faults of a more complex nature. Inspect and test completed work to ensure that it has been carried out in accordance with requirements and that equipment performs satisfactorily before being handed back to operating section.
c.) Carry out assigned routine and preventive maintenance, including replacing work or damaged parts and arranging for test runs as necessary. Troubleshoot faulty equipments and capable to carry out equipments condition monitoring.
d.) Checks that replacement parts are available in store, if not refer to line supervisor for fabrication/repair in workshop, and/or procurement from the market.
e.) Issue comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the findings, the cause of faults, the nature of the work and the materials, labor and time taken to complete the task.
f.) Ensure all tools and test equipments are kept clean and serviceable, and advise line supervisor of additional/replacement tools requirements.
g.) Ensures that all maintenance activities are conducted within company standing instructions and procedures and good oil industry practice.
h.) Provide coaching to newly employed technicians and dedicate sufficient time to develop UAE national developees.
i.) Using Maximo computerized maintenance system.
j.) Contribute in planning maintenance activities and implementation.
k.) Specifying and preparing spare parts required for preventive maintenance and major overhauls.
l.) Contribute in preparing Job Safe Analysis (JSA) for non-routine activities.
