A Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing the IT infrastructure of an organization. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and security of systems, networks, and servers.
Job Overview
The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes servers, storage, network devices, and related components. The role requires a proactive individual who can ensure system availability, performance, and security, and who can respond to incidents and support requests efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection and business continuity.
• Security: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures, manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Storage Management: Oversee storage solutions, including SAN/NAS, ensuring data integrity, availability, and efficient storage allocation.
• Network Management: Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure reliable and secure network operations.
• System Administration: Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Managing Azure Cloud Services & security.
• Managing MS 365 & E-mail security.
• Managing antivirus software & endpoint security.
• Coordinate with responsible teams for procurement, support, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Project Management: Participate in infrastructure projects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of new technologies and solutions.
• Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with our standards and best practices, including ITIL, ISO, and other relevant frameworks.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or a similar role.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
