Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate

Speech Pathologist

to join our team at

Daffodils Rehabilitation for Speech & Hearing Disorder Centre

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, assessing, and treating children with speech, language, and communication disorders. They will work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to develop individualized therapy plans that support each child's communication needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Diagnosis:

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments. Diagnose speech disorders such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language impairments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.

Therapy & Intervention:

Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy for children with communication challenges. Implement therapy techniques to improve articulation, fluency, voice, and receptive/expressive language skills. Use assistive technology and alternative communication methods when necessary.

Family & Team Collaboration:

Educate and support parents in reinforcing therapy strategies at home. Collaborate with special educators, occupational therapists, and other professionals for holistic child development. Conduct parent and teacher training sessions on speech and language development.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and therapy progress. Provide progress reports and recommendations to parents and relevant stakeholders. Ensure compliance with healthcare and educational regulations.

Professional Development & Ethics:

Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in speech therapy. Maintain professional licensing and certifications as required. Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of

2-3 years

of experience working with children with speech and language disorders.

Licensure:

Certification from a recognized Speech Therapy licensing body.

Skills:

Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Patience, empathy, and a child-friendly approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental delays. Proficiency in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Bilingual skills (English & another language) are an advantage.
