The Specification Manager plays a crucial role in driving the specification pipeline, developing architects, and leading country-specific initiatives within the company.


They are accountable for managing and supervising the development, review, and approval of technical product specifications and proposals for the company's products specifically targeting the Consultants & Specifiers segment.


In close collaboration with product development teams, technical office staff, and other stakeholders, they ensure that product specifications align with customer requirements, industry standards, and regional regulatory guidelines. They collaborate with the sales team to enhance conversion rates through efficient commercial processes.

What you'll be doing:



Developing and updating product specifications:


The Specification Manager is tasked with developing, updating, and maintaining product specifications across the company's portfolio. This involves collaborating with various teams and departments to ensure that specifications align with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.



Engaging with Specifiers:



The Specification Manager is responsible for strategically engaging with and developing relationships with specifiers, utilizing the company's technical and service offerings to establish rapport and create partnerships.

Reviewing and approving specifications:


The Specification Manager reviews and approves product specifications to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and alignment with stakeholder requirements. They also ensure that specifications are promptly updated to reflect changes in customer needs, industry standards, and regulatory parameters.



Collaborating with cross-functional teams:


The Specification Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure that specifications meet the requirements of all stakeholders.

Conducting research and analysis:



The Specification Manager conducts thorough research and analysis on industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory guidelines to ensure that product specifications remain current and address market demands.

Ensuring compliance:


The Specification Manager ensures that all product specifications comply with industry standards and regulatory guidelines, liaising with regulatory teams to secure necessary certifications and approvals.

Managing documentation:


The Specification Manager oversees all documentation related to product specifications, maintaining records, archiving outdated documents, and ensuring the accuracy and currency of all documentation.

Providing technical support:


The Specification Manager provides technical support to internal teams and external customers to ensure that product specifications are clearly understood and implemented correctly.

We are interested in you as a person: your attitude, behaviors and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don't already have, we'd love to speak to you. If you have experience in the following areas - this is an added advantage:

Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil engineering, or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in Technical Specification or a related field. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Technical knowledge of the products and services offered by the company. Proficiency in using sales and customer relationship management tools. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
