The Specification Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the development, review, and approval of technical products specifications & proposals for a company's products with a specific customer group, Consultants & Specifiers segment. They work closely with product development teams, engineering/ technical office, and other stakeholders to ensure that product specifications meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines in the region. They collaborate with the sales team to ensure high conversion rates through collaborative and efficient commercial processes.

What you'll be doing:


Developing and maintaining product specifications:


The Specification Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating product specifications for all products within the company's portfolio. This involves working with various teams and departments to ensure that specifications meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.


Specifier Engagement:


The specification Manager is responsible for engaging and systematic specifier development through developing various contacts within the specifiers and establishing rapport utilizing the company's technical and service offerings.


Reviewing and approving specifications:


The Specification Manager reviews and approves product specifications to ensure that they are accurate, complete, and meet the requirements of all stakeholders. They also ensure that specifications are updated as necessary to reflect changes in customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.


Collaborating with cross-functional teams:


The Specification Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure that specifications meet the needs of all stakeholders.


Conducting research and analysis:


The Specification Manager conducts research and analysis on industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory guidelines to ensure that product specifications are up-to-date and meet the needs of the market.


Ensuring compliance:


The Specification Manager ensures that all product specifications are compliant with industry standards and regulatory guidelines, and they work with regulatory teams to obtain necessary certifications and approvals.


Managing documentation:


The Specification Manager manages all documentation related to product specifications, including maintaining records, archiving old documents, and ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.


Providing technical support:


The Specification Manager provides technical support to internal teams and external customers to ensure that product specifications are clearly understood and implemented correctly.

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in Technical Specification or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Technical knowledge of the products and services offered by the company.
• Proficiency in using sales and customer relationship management tools.
• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
