Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Developing functional and technical specifications for customers and subcontractors based on

their requirements and design.

2. Building a strong relationship with consultants, architects, and main contractors.

3. Tie up with local government authorities such as DCD, ADCB, DCL, Thomas Bell Right, etc.

4. Maintaining a close partnership with fire consultants.

5. Establishing relationships with the technical teams of ACP manufacturers.

6. Performing technical evaluations of quotations from customers in coordination with the sales

department.

7. Ensuring full compliance with all applicable requirements imposed by customer and statutory

bodies.

8. Engaging in technical discussions to achieve comparable levels of compliancy for competing

suppliers of the same product/system; (providing a good starting point for the commercial

negotiation).

9. Acquisition and review of supplier engineering information and documentation; (i.e., mechanical

drawings, schematics, calculations, electrical diagrams, etc.).

10. Integration of delivered components/systems into ship design in close cooperation with internal

departments, supplier, statutory bodies and owner.

11. Providing input and updates for the engineering database.

12. Performing s required technical calculations to validate the design.

13. Composing technical/functional specification documents; (i.e., System Description Statements).

14. Verifying technical performance of products and systems; (i.e., inspection of equipment at

supplier premises).

15. Offering technical support for commissioning activities.

16. Ensuring good working relationship with technical representatives of suppliers and

subcontractors.

17. Participating in design checks and reviews in order to guarantee the required quality.

18. Contributing to the further development of the engineering department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field National Eastern & Europe Countries.

Proven experience in specification management or a related role for more than 5 years.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills English and Arabic Preferred.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED35,000.00 per month
