Expectations
The Site HSE Manager oversees all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects at the Duba Energy Park project site. This critical role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards, aiming to minimize risks and foster a safe working environment.
Approaches (Roles & Responsibilities):
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive HSE policies and programs tailored to Duba Energy Park's specific needs and risks. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations. Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, compiling reports and recommending preventive measures. Coordinate with project management and on-site teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations and project planning. Manage and train the HSE team, ensuring they possess up-to-date knowledge and skills. Organize and conduct HSE training sessions and drills to promote a strong safety culture among site personnel. Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to ensure HSE practices meet current standards and legislation. Monitor HSE performance metrics, report findings to senior management, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement. Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal according to environmental standards. Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related inquiries and emergencies on site.

Experience and Skills:
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE roles. Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity within construction or energy project environments. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards, particularly in energy and construction projects. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Proactive and preventative approach to risk management. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage diverse stakeholder group
