By working together every day, we\'re bringing energy to life.About the Job:Acts as company\'s technical authority on reservoir simulation (Black oil and compositional) related issues under Reservoir Studies & Assurance - Enhanced Oil Recovery Team Leader. To endorse scope of work for major reservoir modelling projects, including internal studies, and review of EOR compositional simulation.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensures Quality of all major reservoir simulation projects, including internal and outsourced studies, covering planning, execution and final reporting phases.
- Perform EOR screening studies and design EOR pilots and FFD projects.
- Reviews and ensures QC on simulation models for significant and major development projects prior to VAP gates.
- Develops Company\'s fit-for-purpose simulation strategy to align with ADNOC missions and visions.
- Ensures Company\'s simulation related knowledge sharing and transferring to young Emirati engineers
- Liaises with ADNOC Upstream TC and shareholders on simulation related subjects.
- Optimizing cost and efficiency of Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) projects including surface and subsurface aspects of CO2 EOR projects.
- Improving CO2 EOR development scenarios by optimizing well counts, spacing, WAG cycles, CO2 purity, etc.
- Reviewing profiles and economics of CO2 EOR projects and ensure the progress of projects milestones on time.
- Monitoring and analyzing CO2 performance with capability to identify early signs of potential risks of unplanned CO2 breakthrough and develop mitigation plan without impacting the oil production.
- Ensure CO2 offtake & injection. Developing backup plans to maintain reservoir pressure in case of CO2 supply shortage for CO2 EOR projects.
- Provide technical advisory of best practice in reservoir management for HC & CO2 WAG EOR projects.
- Conducting knowledge sharing EOR trainings, workshops, and developing young talented employees in EOR discipline.Requirements: Minimum Requirements:Bachelor\'s degree Petroleum Engineering and/or Reservoir Engineering.
- Master\'s degree and/or PhD degree is preferred.Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- 15 years of experience in application of petroleum and reservoir engineering including at least 5 years in reservoir simulation (black oil and compositional).
- Strong knowledge in general reservoir engineering aspects as field development, well testing, PVT, etc.
- Skilled in Reservoir Compositional Simulation software & tools (INTERSECT, tNavigator, and CMG).
- Strong project economics skills.
- Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS).
- Knowledgeable of surface facilities.
