Job Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
· Contract Management: o Administer and manage existing gas sales contracts, ensuring compliance with all contractual terms, delivery schedules, and performance metrics. o Provide support in the negotiation and drafting of new contracts or the amendment of existing agreements in collaboration with legal and commercial teams. o Monitor and report on the execution of gas supply contracts, ensuring timely deliveries and managing any contractual issues that arise. · Supply Coordination: o Coordinate with upstream gas suppliers to ensure reliable and timely supply for distribution, addressing supply chain interruptions or discrepancies. o Collaborate with operations teams to ensure alignment between gas supply schedules and operational requirements. o Facilitate communications between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any logistical or contractual challenges. · Risk Management: o Identify and assess risks related to gas supply contracts, including market fluctuations, supply disruptions, or regulatory changes. o Develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring continuity of supply and cost-effectiveness. · Market Research & Benchmarking: o Benchmark contract terms and pricing against industry standards to ensure competitive procurement.
· Operational Support: o Support operational teams by ensuring smooth gas distribution, addressing supply chain challenges, and coordinating logistics for the importation and distribution gas. o Oversee operational aspects of gas contracts, including adjustments in supply schedules to meet fluctuating demand. · Financial and Compliance Oversight: o Track financial performance against contract terms, ensuring that payments, penalties, and incentives are managed effectively. o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to gas contracts, including environmental and safety standards.
Communications and Working Relationships (Responsibility for contacts and Supervision) · Work closely with the commercial, financial, and operational teams to ensure the effective execution of contracts. · Support the legal team in contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation efforts.
Framework Boundaries, Decision Making authority and responsibility · The jobholder must resolve variations or issues pertaining to compliance and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure discrepancies are managed and appropriate actions are taken. · Empowered to make decisions within company policies and procedures, particularly regarding contract negotiation, renewals, and compliance.
1. Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Skills & Professional Certifications):
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field
Experience:
· Up to 2 years relevant experience in upstream contract administration or relevant department. · Proven experience in contract administration and strong understanding of contract law and compliance.
Skills: · Basic knowledge on project management on oil and gas upstream activities. · Familiarity with legal terminology and contract negotiation processes. · Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive meaningful insights. · Good communication and presentation skills to effectively convey contract-related information to diverse audiences. · Collaborative and adaptable, able to work with cross-functional teams and embrace changes in a dynamic business environment. · Proficiency in using performance management software, business intelligence tools, and Microsoft Office applications. · Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices in contract compliance. · Good attention to detail and ability to work independently to drive results.
