Let\'s work together to achieve great things and unlock new possibilities for our employees, customers, and communities.JOB PURPOSE:The Group Fraud Risk & Investigations function is part of the group\'s Risk Management function and provides second line Fraud Risk oversight for the firm\'s front office and support / control functions.The purpose of the role is to ensure that the Bank\'s Products, Policies, Processes, RCSA\'s and new initiatives are subject to ad hoc, periodic, and ongoing fraud risk assessments and reviews. The incumbent will also be engaged in conducting the reviews of processes of high-risk business so that all associated fraud risks is adequately mitigated. The incumbent is further responsible conducting vigilance activity comprising reviews of loans and cards to identify potential frauds.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Core ResponsibilitiesPolicies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Demonstrate compliance to organization\'s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the bank.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies and quality standards.
Specific Accountabilities:
Engage in review of all amendments to group-wide, high-risk, standard operating procedures.
Work closely with Line Manager to ensure that all fraud risks have been identified and adequately mitigated, or else risk-accepted by the business.
Conduct vigilance sampling reviews on customer applications for credit and other Bank products to pinpoint fraud controls, policy deviations and potential fraud.
Ensure to engage with respective business and follow up on Recommendations, as result of Investigation, and ensure timely implementation of proposed actions to mitigate fraud risks and ensure closure of Recommendations based on appropriate approvals.
Ensure ongoing reviews of Key Risk Indicators, based on KRI reports and to liaise with respective departments to ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate fraud risks.
Ensure that detailed MI and evidence of Vigilance activities and Document Reviews is maintained.
Assist line manager and team actively participate and conclude key BRD\'s and UAT testing as and when required.
Support & collaborate with other GFRI activities as/when required.
#LI-AM2QualificationsMinimum Qualification
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
Relevant industry certifications e.g., CFE, CFA, FRM, CAMS etc. are preferred.
Minimum Experience & competencies
2 years\' relevant experience in the banking sector.
Working knowledge of bank products, channels and services.
Working knowledge of fraud risk in the banking sector.
Good administrative skills and ability to multitask.
