Determines which cases constitute an emergency, extends rapid treatment to the patient as needed, makes quick decisions, and chooses the correct consultant for necessary additional guidance.
Advises nursing personnel regarding medical problems.
Completes all medical records and case histories promptly, indicating thereon the diagnosis and treatment given. Is responsible for the medical accuracy, completeness and confidential nature of patients medical records.
Initiate IPNS form for any eligible patient with injury and poisoning.
Ensure all details are captured in IPNS data form for further submission to DOH.
Provides health counseling of patients as needed.
Provides on-call emergency coverage.
To ensure proper documentation in Urgent Care and adherence to legal & regulatory compliance.
Define and ensure implementation of department manual, policies, procedures, matrices, guidelines & pathways.
To be a part of the Urgent Care response team (Code Blue & Black).
To perform the administrative responsibility of Urgent Care functioning.
Provide trainings to Urgent Care department staff.
Work in all shifts as scheduled by the head of the department.
Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
Strictly adheres to organizations regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, EHSMS, HAAD, and JCI.
Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service.
Participates and contributes in scheduled in-service training programs like ACLS, BLS, CNEs, CMEs, In house activities, conferences or other programs as requested.
Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and Management.
Maintains confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.

QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS
Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine with an MBBS degree.
Post-Graduate Masters degree or equivalent Fellowships approved by DOH.
Minimum of three years experience in the practice as Emergency Medicine post certification.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
