The role involves having good accuracy skills as well as possessing problem solving skills. Being able to work independently and take initiative where possible are essential key skills for this role. The ideal candidate should possess bachelor's degree in Environment, Health and Safety or a relevant subject. NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Lead Auditor Certificate ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001. NEBOSH Accident Investigation Certificate.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant EHSQ policies and procedures. Provide integrity assurance of Process designs through the application of technical standards and implementation of IMS. Conduct EHS inspections internally and with third parties as per the approved inspection program. Ensuring preventive and/or corrective actions are identified during the inspection with the timely closing of these actions. Conduct compliance inspection, monitor air quality, chemical disposal, wastewater, and waste management to monitor environmental performance. Execute Quality inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Implement process controls to maintain consistency and prevent defects. Execute and review EHSQ risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the operations team. Conduct potential Environmental aspects and Impact Assessments. Identify potential hazards and apply mitigation strategies. Ensure environmental license conditions are complied with and communicated to relevant stakeholders. Implement EHSQ in compliance with legislation and ISO standards. Assist in preparing and conducting EHSQ audits and inspections. Prepare and present audit reports to site management and recommend corrective actions. Follow-up on all relevant EHSQ actions. Ensure that environmental risks are identified and managed. Conduct an internal environmental compliance assurance audit and provide support in the preparation of the reports required. Monitor the Solid and chemical disposal to guarantee safe environmental protection in compliance with Supreme Council of Environment regulation. Collect and analyze EHSQ data to identify trends and opportunities. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Compile monthly regional EHSQ statistics, identifying trends and supporting proactive initiatives to improve safety and compliance. Communicates information on the EHSQ Management System across the organization and promotes EHSQ awareness through various communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Provide EHSQ training, awareness and induction on site to staff, contractors and other relevant parties. Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. Escalate significant risk to the management team. Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness. Prepare and analyze statistics for incident management. Record EHSQ key performance indicators monthly and issue reports as necessary. Suggest and advise changes to ensure continuous improvement. Maintain effective communication with site teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Develop technical reports and environmental and Safety documentation as part of compliance. Organize management review meetings and maintain related documentation. Administer and maintain non-conformance and suggestion systems, including Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CPAR), Non-conformance Report (NCR) and Field Performance Report (FPR) systems. Monitor energy consumption and support quality control process across all projects. Prepare and maintain EHSQ reports. Ensure all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement. Stay updated on the latest EHSQ trends, regulations, and best practices. Continuously improve EHSQ policies and procedures based on industry developments and feedback. Monitor general safety signage across site and replace/update as required.
