ABOUT THE JOB: Responsible for the development and review of contracts, including researching the legal regulations, negotiating terms and conditions as well as preparing the requisite documents. Participate in the daily management of existing contracts by providing contractual strategy advice to the Management Team with respect to change orders, variations, and claims. Assist Management in ensuring that contract management activities are communicated, aligned, monitored, and measured.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Prepare Request for Expression of Interest to the potential bidders, assist in evaluation of responses and prepare Bidders Lists.
Examine scope of work and other information provided by End Users and/or consultants for completeness and consistency.
Prepare comprehensive Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) packages using standard forms and coordinate issuance to approve bidders.
Prepare all correspondence to bidders during the bidding period with necessary input from End Users, where required.
Coordinate and attend technical and commercial bid openings.
Perform evaluation of unpriced commercial aspects of the technical bid and evaluation of commercial bids.
Maintain and update computerized or manual records (contract logs)
Establish procedures of transferring Contracts to Operations after demobilization of Project team.
Handle contractor claims and breaches effectively and to resolve issues on behalf of the company
Prepare recommendations for award and Notice of Award.
Prepare the contract document(s) confirming agreed changes to the ITT package wherever applicable
Provide contractual advice to End Users and prepare contractual correspondence.
Proofread, edit, and verify legal documentation for accuracy and consistency.
Review and evaluate variations and claims, prepare recommendations for approval of management and prepare contract amendments, as required.
Review contract terms and conditions to ensure that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable local regulation.
Monitor the progress of contract execution according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner.
Responsible for assisting company to terminate contracts on favourable terms.
Ensure understanding, adherence and participation in relevant HSE requirements.
MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor\'s Degree in contract management, accounting, business administration and law or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 5 year experience with and ability to write up, review and edit Logistics and Warehousing related contracts and associated documentation without assistance / supervision. Advantage if this experience is related to Oil and Gas Logistics.
Ability to review and edit SOW provided by end users.
Experience with launching EOIs for potential tenders
Ability to write up ITT (Invitation to tender) packages including evaluation criteria / scoring matrices.
Close familiarity with standard ADNOC Contracts , General and Special T&Cs.
