We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Thoracic Surgeon to help us out with a case.

Thoracic Surgeon Duties:

Diagnose and develop treatment plans for diseases and disorders of the lungs, chest, esophagus, stomach, and intestines
Conduct surgery and other medical procedures
Treat organ transplant patients
Perform research

Thoracic Surgeon Responsibilities:

Board-eligible or board-certified in thoracic surgery
Extensive experience in a surgical practice setting, including general thoracic, esophageal, and pulmonary/cardiac thoracic surgery
Exhibits expertise in a range of minimally invasive thoracic surgical procedures
Demonstrated experience with robotic procedures

Requirements And Skills:

Supervise personnel, including direct supervision of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, including schedulers, medical coders, record clerks, and administrative assistants
Participate in hiring, training, and general administrative duties
Participate in comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care planning for all thoracic surgery cases
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with thoracic pathology, including patient care and documentation
Apply knowledge of patient demographics, symptoms, and physical exam findings to diagnose and treat patients
Communicate with patients and families, explaining test results, treatment options, and post-surgical instructions
Participate in cardiology-related research projects
Attend conferences, meetings, and educational opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
