Assess and manage critically ill pediatric patients with acute or chronic life-threatening conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, trauma, and post-operative recovery.
Perform advanced medical procedures, such as intubation, central line placement, mechanical ventilation management, and extracorporeal life support (ECLS/ECMO).
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based protocols.
Monitor and adjust treatments to optimize patient outcomes in the PICU.
Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on their child's condition and explaining treatment options and prognosis.
Offer emotional support and guidance to families during critical situations.
Work closely with pediatricians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions to coordinate patient care.
Mentor and educate residents, medical students, and nursing staff on pediatric critical care practices.
Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in pediatric critical care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and care outcomes.
Conduct or contribute to clinical research projects in pediatric critical care.

Qualifications:
Certification by the American Board of Pediatric Critical Care or equivalent U.K. certification Member of the Royal College of Physicians (PAEDS).
At least 3 years as a full-time pediatrician, after residency training.
Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH /DHA / MOH license to practice in UAE.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
