Title:
Specialist, Commissioning (Electrical) :
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum (5) years, preferred in GCC region. Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
Guides the electrical engineering discipline engineers of Contractor/ Consultant providing expertise and input on application of COMPANY and industry standards in the design and development, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning during Project phases in a manner that achieves Project design requirements within the cost and schedule targets set by COMPANY.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Review all electrical engineering deliverables prepared by Contractor/ Consultant/Vendors
• Participate in relevant workshops providing expertise to ensure design is meeting
project requirements
• Respond to technical queries from Contractor/ Consultant and others, as deemed necessary in respect to Commissioning electrical discipline.
• Ensures safe, economic, and technically sound decisions in all project phases.
• Verify that all Commissioning electrical discipline deliverables are completed correctly and satisfactorily.
• Review requests for Design Deviations / Concession Requests proposed.
• Review technical content of variation order in the Project Contract.
• Participate in design review meetings .
• Review Commissioning electrical specifications and review of relevant specifications from other disciplines.
• Review of Commissioning electrical equipment design of EHV, HV systems, LV systems.
• Review of Commissioning electrical engineering datasheets and review of relevant datasheets from other disciplines.
• Review Commissioning Electrical equipment sizing calculations and power system study reports.
• Review of Electrical load lists, Single line diagrams, electrical equipment layouts, cable/earthing/lighting layout drawings and other relevant documents.
• Review electrical systems and subsystems single line diagram mark ups.
• Review electrical systems pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and manuals.
• Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of electrical systems at site.
• Participate in 3D model reviews.
• Fully understand COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations, and objectives as they relate to area of responsibility.
