By working together every day, we\'re bringing energy to life.About the Job:Provision of Professional and Technical advice and consultancy services to ADNOC Onshore Operations and Technical Groups on all aspects related to the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of Cathodic Protection SystemsEnsure external corrosion protection of all buried structures / facilities, Marine structures in contact with Corrosive Environment, Internal protection of tanks and vessels, by application of Cathodic Protection.Establish standards for and provide advice on all aspects of Cathodic Protection across ADNOC Onshore and ensure its implementation at project stage and during operations.Job covers all aspects of design, construction, commissioning and operation of cathodic protection systems.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Part 1)
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all Cathodic Protection (CP) related issues.
- Consolidate various standards, develop new standards / provide inputs to ADNOC for development of AGES, carry out site visits and obtain feedback from assets and end-users, conduct workshops and obtain stakeholder feedback, obtain approval and implement changes, update and issue amendments.
- Issue standards to Engineering & Projects teams, ensure standards have been included in Project documents.
- Prepare Front end engineering design (FEED), SOW for CP Systems. Discuss and agree the best approach to the CP system during the project. Ensure materials comply to Company standards. Ensure QA - QC during construction. Review statistics and report from time to time during the project life cycle.
- Reduce CAPEX and OPEX through utilization of newly developed cost effective techniques / materials, by combining CP systems for various structures, by utilizing existing CP systems having spare capacity.
- Review Project CP documents prepared by CP Contractor.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Part 2)
- Review and approve technical deviations, project vendors / contractors prequalification documents, technical queries after asset engineering and PMT / PMC review.
- Work as Technical Authority to review and approve the projects\' deviations, issuing design approval changes (DCA) and modification of existing AGES.
- Leading In Country Value (ICV) of local manufacturers by evaluating their products, capabilities and advise for plants modifications to cope with ADNOC commercial directory.
- Prepare/assist in the preparation of scope of work for existing or new contracts. Carry out the technical evaluation of bids for CP related contracts. Carry out regular contractor audits to ensure that contracts are implemented as per scope of work.
- Assist Projects teams in the design, construction, and commissioning of CP systems.
- Advise Operations teams on the operation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of CP systems.
- Lead on the CP system efficiency and effectiveness surveys and studies. Provide technical support for specialized surveys like CPET / CPP for well casings.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Part 3)
- Conduct CP system efficiency and effectiveness audits. Evaluate periodic performance of CP system and analyse trends
- Review and endorse periodic Potential Survey reports.
- Administer consultancy contracts related to CP surveys and studies.
- Explore, study, evaluate, assess and propose New Technologies under Tech Road program
- Represent ADNOC Onshore in local, regional, and international events related to CP. Maintain regular contacts with peers and industry experts.
- Participate in knowledge sharing like Al Maaraf, Technical Centre Engineering (Being There) etc.
- Mentor, coach, and develop potential UAE nationals to become skilled in CP and help in achieving Emiratization targets.REQUIREMENTSMinimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. (or higher) in Corrosion Science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering and science subjects; preferably with additional business qualification.
- NACE Certified CP SpecialistMinimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
