Job Description

A lovely family living in Dubai, are looking for a nanny with a special educational needs background for their 9 year old son. The candidate should have knowledge with autism, dyspraxia, and ADHD. The working schedule of 5-6 days per week is to be determined, but will include working over the weekend, with days off to be taken during the week. For the right candidate the family would consider a 5 day working week. The position would be live-in, with comfortable accommodation provided including a private bedroom and bathroom.

Job responsibilities include, but aren't limited to, encouraging the child to be more independent when dressing, helping with sleep routines, and encouragement at eating times. They should be able to source activities and implement the therapists recommendations within the household, thus enabling consistency. The child attends extra curricular classes after school, and the nanny would be responsible for ensuring they attend.

The candidate should speak English as a first language, as well as Mandarin and or Arabic being a bonus. The nanny would be required to travel to the UK and other holiday destinations with the family when needed, and ensure routines and schedules are kept to. This is a fully staffed household, a cook will prepare the meals but it would be beneficial to work together with them, and plan weekly menus to help introduce new foods.

The ideal candidate must be kind, loving and patient with a solid work ethic, as well as a team player. There are other siblings in the home, but the nanny's main responsibility would be for the 9 year old.

The nanny will be provided 30 days annual vacation, medical insurance, and visa, as well as a return flight once a year. A competitive annual salary will be provided for the hired candidate. The position is open to candidates worldwide, so please apply if interested to EH016.
