Job Title : Special Education Teacher Job Overview :
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team and provide individualized education to students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing tailored educational plans, implementing specialized instruction, and supporting the overall academic and social development of students with disabilities or learning differences. The teacher will work closely with parents, support staff, and other educators to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities :
• Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Development :
• Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student based on their unique learning requirements and abilities.
• Set specific academic and developmental goals in collaboration with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Instruction & Curriculum Adaptation :
• Modify and adapt the general curriculum to meet the needs of students with a variety of disabilities, including physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments.
• Deliver personalized instruction to students either in small groups or one-on-one settings.
• Use appropriate resources, assistive technology, and teaching aids to engage students and promote learning.
• Classroom Management & Behavioral Support :
• Create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment that supports students' emotional and behavioral needs.
• Implement behavior management plans to address individual student behaviors and provide consistent positive reinforcement.
• Foster independence and social development in students by promoting self-help skills and appropriate social interactions.
• Collaboration & Communication :
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, school counselors, occupational therapists, and other specialists to ensure students' success in inclusive environments.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, challenges, and IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and team meetings to discuss student development and plan interventions.
• Assessment & Progress Monitoring :

• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior as required by school policies.
• Professional Development :
