We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized Spare Parts Purchaser to join our team. This role involves managing the procurement process for spare parts required for vehicle maintenance and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management in new and used spare parts , excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of spare parts inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement of Spare Parts
: Research and source high-quality spare parts and components required for maintenance or repair projects.
Vendor Management
: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
Inventory Management
: Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, monitor stock levels, and ensure that the right parts are available when needed.
Cost Optimization
: Negotiate prices, discounts, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Order Processing
: Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and verify that parts are received as per specifications.
Quality Assurance
: Ensure that purchased parts meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Supply Chain Coordination
: Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to understand their needs and ensure spare parts are available on time.
Budget Control
: Work within budget constraints while maintaining an efficient and responsive supply chain.
Requirements:
Experience
: Proven experience in spare parts procurement or purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sectors.
Knowledge
: Strong understanding of spare parts specifications, suppliers, and sourcing processes.
Skills
:
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
