We are currently seeking a talented Sous Sushi Chef to support our Head Sushi Chef and lead our sushi team in delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Sushi Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the sushi section.
• Prepare high-quality sushi dishes, including sashimi, nigiri, maki, and specialty rolls, ensuring consistency and presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist in sourcing fresh ingredients, and ensure proper storage and handling of seafood and other perishable items.
• Train and mentor junior staff to maintain high culinary standards and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate on menu creation and development, contributing innovative ideas to enhance the sushi offerings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and kitchen procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sushi Chef in a high-volume Japanese restaurant.
• Expertise in sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and traditional Japanese cooking methods.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Creativity and passion for Japanese cuisine, with a focus on detail and presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
