SOUS CHEF

Our client, a family of unique food concepts that are built on sustainability and delicate culinary excellence who operate premium international brands including FERDI, Philippe Chow, Beef Bar, Novikov, and more, apart from amazing local brands well known for their authenticity and original Kuwaiti taste, is looking for an skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team of a newly opened premium fine dining restaurant in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious dishes as well as a strong leadership ability to manage and inspire a team of chefs, and a proven track record of success in a high-pressure kitchen environment. As the Head Chef, He/She will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning to food preparation to kitchen organization and management. He/She will work closely with the management team to ensure that guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development. - Manage kitchen operations and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.

- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working condition and that the kitchen is clean and always organised.

- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of food costs.

- Assist with special events and private dining experiences.

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure that the kitchen is compliant with all local laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a premium dining establishment. - Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. - Strong leadership and organisational skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. - MUST have worked or currently works in any EUROPEAN Country.
