The Job
We are currently looking for a Sous Chef candidate for an Italian Cuisine Restaurant in PALM JUMEIRAH, DUBAI . The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their duties to ensure efficient workflow.
• Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
• Oversee food production and presentation, maintaining consistency and excellence.
• Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies, ensuring cost control and minimal waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
• Develop new recipes and contribute to menu planning and innovation.
• Monitor portion sizes and food quality to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Qualifications
• KNOWLEDGE OF ITALIAN CUISINE IS NEEDED
• At least 2+ years' of culinary or kitchen experience
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
