:Job OverviewThe Sourcing Specialist is responsible for facilitating an efficient sourcing process by building relationships with suppliers, negotiating cost and developing agreements for the Goods and Services required at multiple locations within the Geozone and/or the Region, this involve using established sourcing methodology, electronic platforms and tools. The role will report to the Global Category Manager, liaise with overall company sourcing strategies.Responsibilities:
Ensures to develop and implement the sourcing plan, working closely with Operations and Category Plant Management to refine the sourcing strategy and plans for the Geozone and/or Region for the upcoming year
Assesses sourcing and category opportunities, analyzing spend data from multiple sources, structured analysis of supplier/category industry to identify trends, purchasing patterns, competitive position, market conditions and expiring contracts to indicate ways to improve the pricing, quality, service and technology
Ensures sourcing events (RFX's), negotiates hard savings and/or benefits to lower the overall cost to the organization
Ensure accurate and up to date contracts and supplier records are maintained
Ensures to award contracts and agreements to suppliers that comply with company requirements
Tracks performance aspects of contracts and supplier development that includes contract inventory, segmentation, risk assessments, contingency planning and validation of right pricing
Ensures safe and efficient utilization of company systems, tools and spreadsheets/reports
Create strategic alliances with suppliers to develop and maintain long-term supply partnerships
Works with all relevant parties in the consolidation and rationalization of Supplier base
Proficient understanding of technical requirements, designs and identify the required capabilities
Qualifications:Skills:REQUIRED
Familiarity with Procurement and Sourcing principles and techniques: Procure-to-Pay full cycle, e-catalogues, e-ordering and e-invoicing Strategic Sourcing methodology and tools
Analysing data regarding the cost and availability of materials and services that are needed to complete projects
Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of commodity industry specifically for machining or machine parts
Experience with any ERP Systems
Advanced excel user
Must have a proven track record in qualifying complex machining parts and possess a strong understanding of quality standards
Strong analytical and negotiation skills, including cost models
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
Solid understanding of fundamental contracting and agreements principles with the ability to create contracts using Company templates
Excellent Customer Service
PREFERRED
Supply Market expertise in the Oil and Gas Industry
Knowledge of JD Edwards and Oracle platforms and services
Qualifications:REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of higher degree and related experience
Minimum 5-7 years related experience with demonstrated competencies in a sourcing and procurement of machining and machine parts
PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing, Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Sourcing Certificate
5+ years of experience in a sourcing and procurement in machining and machine parts
