Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sound System Engineer/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of sound systems for events and exhibitions. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure to ensure flawless audio experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sound System Design:
• Design sound setups for various events and exhibitions according to client specifications and event requirements.
• Create detailed audio plans, including equipment selection, placement, and signal routing.
• Installation:
• Install sound systems and related equipment at event venues.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and technical specifications.
• Operation:
• Operate sound systems during events, ensuring optimal audio quality and performance.
• Mix live audio, manage sound levels, and execute sound cues.
• Maintenance:
• Conduct regular maintenance and testing of sound equipment.
• Perform repairs and upgrades as necessary to ensure reliability and performance.
• Technical Support:
• Provide on-site technical support during events, addressing any audio issues promptly.
• Assist clients with technical inquiries and provide guidance on sound setups.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all sound setups are of high quality and meet client expectations.
• Conduct pre-event testing to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with event planners, production teams, and other technicians to understand technical requirements and timelines.
• Provide technical training and guidance to junior staff and new team members.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sound design, installation, and operation for events.
• Strong technical knowledge of sound systems, mixing consoles, and audio equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using audio design software and control systems.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.
• On-site work at various event locations, including outdoor and indoor venues.
• Travel required for installations and events.

• Frequency of scheduled maintenance checks performed.
• Reduction in the number of unexpected technical failures or breakdowns.
• Client Satisfaction:

• Accuracy in following sound design plans and installation guidelines.
