Couchbase is hiring a Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead the team in the META region (Middle East, Turkey, and Africa). The SE Manager will oversee a group of Solutions Engineers who are passionate about helping customers succeed with Couchbase's innovative data platform. This role is vital to expanding Couchbase's presence in the META region by supporting customers in their digital transformation journeys and driving adoption of Couchbase Capella.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and inspiring leader with a technical background in databases and cloud-native solutions. You will work closely with account teams to shape strategy, manage pre-sales engagements, and ensure the SE team delivers exceptional value to customers.
REQUIREMENTS
Lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers across the META region, making sure they have the tools, training, and support needed to excel
Collaborate with regional sales leadership to define go-to-market strategies and align on customer success objectives
Guide the SE team in technical discovery, solution demonstrations, and PoC execution
Serve as a technical escalation point for complex customer engagements, offering hands-on support when needed
Foster a culture of learning and innovation within the SE team, helping them stay current with industry trends and Couchbase product advancements
Drive continuous improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned with the broader Couchbase SE organization
Coordinate hiring and onboarding for new team members in the META region
Develop and track metrics to measure SE team performance, including customer satisfaction and overall deal impact
Partner with Product Management to relay feedback from customers, helping shape the product roadmap
SKILLS
Five or more years of experience in a pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing technical role
Two or more years of experience managing technical teams
Deep knowledge of modern database architectures, including NoSQL and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise application development
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Experience leading remote or geographically distributed teams
