The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in software testing, with a deep understanding of RTCA DO-178C standards, the creation of detailed test cases and test plans, and a focus on automation. Proficiency with test automation tools and familiarity with the Rapita Verification Suite is preferred. Test Case and Test Plan Development
Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test procedures for embedded software in compliance with RTCA DO-178C standards.
Ensure test documentation is precise and fully traceable to software requirements, supporting safety and quality assurance.
2. Test Automation
Develop automated test scripts and frameworks for software testing, with an emphasis on reliability and coverage.
Execute automated test cases and analyze results, identifying defects and ensuring software integrity and compliance.
Utilize the Rapita Verification Suite for testing activities, if applicable.
3. Manual Testing and Execution
Conduct thorough manual tests as needed, particularly for complex or high-stakes scenarios where automation is insufficient.
Document and communicate results, ensuring traceability and quality control.
4. Regulatory Compliance
Verify that testing activities and deliverables align with RTCA DO-178C standards for safety-critical systems in aerospace applications.
Ensure test processes meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
5. Defect Tracking and Reporting
Identify, track, and document software defects in JIRA, working closely with the development team for timely resolutions.
Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all test activities, results, and software bugs.
6. Collaboration and Agile Methodology
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems engineers, and quality assurance, within an Agile environment.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, ensuring clear communication of testing needs and timelines.
7. Tool Management and Optimization
Configure and optimize testing tools within the Atlassian suite to support efficient testing workflows and accurate reporting.
Manage and maintain test infrastructure to ensure reliable test automation and execution.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing for embedded systems in the aerospace or defense industry.- Technical Skills:
Strong experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.
Proficiency with test automation tools; experience with the Rapita Verification Suite is preferred.
