Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons in line with the curriculum guidelines.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Student Assessment:
• Evaluate and monitor students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate their progress to parents and guardians.
• Classroom Management:
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Manage student behavior effectively, following school policies and procedures.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best teaching practices and educational trends.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and insights.
• Student Support:
• Identify and support students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
• Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Extracurricular Activities:
• Participate in or lead extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports, or cultural events, to enrich the student experience.
• Communication:
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, History, Geography, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or license in Social Studies.
• Proven experience in teaching Social Studies at the relevant grade level.
• Strong understanding of Social Studies curriculum standards and frameworks.
