Responsibilities:
Turn ideas into content that drives high engagement and grows our audience.
Create and edit photo/video content for use on Instagram and other channels as needed.
Manage the scheduling and publishing of all content to ensure a 7-day-cycle is met.
Be the voice of Hypebeast for our community, interacting with comments and DMs.
Ensure breaking news and viral content is posted in a timely manner.
Create and keep updated a publishing calendar of culturally relevant moments.
Cover live events and conduct in-person interviews as needed.
Deliver regular performance reports that share insights and identify opportunities.
Align with other regions to adapt global content to a local audience.
Ensure Hypebeasts tone and style is consistent across all content.
Monitor industry trends and stay on top of the latest innovations on social media.
Attend meetings and assist the partnerships team with copywriting, asset selection, publishing, content creation and event capture as needed.
Requirements:
4+ years in a social media role at an agency or brand with a demonstrable work portfolio.
The candidate is at the cutting edge of the cultural zeitgeist; understanding internet, social and youth culture and how to credibly and sensitively work within it whilst maintaining brand integrity.
Extremely passionate and knowledgeable about fashion, culture, and the different categories that Hypebeast covers.
Energy and enthusiasm for social media with strong knowledge of all key platforms, their nuances, and best practices.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro; editing both photo and video is a daily part of the role.
Excellent spoken and written English; proficiency in Arabic is a bonus.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Able to build strong working relationships across teams and timezones.
Strong sense of initiative and an ability to work independently.
A natural storyteller.
Constantly full of ideas.
Must speak meme.
