SynopsisThe Social Media Activation Officer is responsible for executing dynamic and engaging social media campaigns and activations for Etihads global and regional social media channels. The role plays a critical part in ensuring that Etihads brand narrative and ethos are consistently delivered through innovative and interactive social media content.The Social Media Activation Officer role is well-rounded, dynamic and involves leading collaborations and events with internal and external stakeholders to strategize and develop content for key activations through the year, both in the UAE and around Etihads global network.Accountabilities
Activation Execution: Manage and execute social media activation initiatives, ensuring detailed planning, strategising and execution for successful activations roll out.
Event Activation: Lead on-ground social media activations at events, coordinating with various teams to capture, edit, and publish real-time content.
Social Media Best Practices: Educate internal stakeholders and external partners on the latest social media trends and best practices to enhance content effectiveness.
Trend Utilisation: Monitor the latest social media trends and digital technologies to identify and capitalize on opportunities for innovative activations.
Real-Time Content Creation: Oversee the creation and publishing of live event content, ensuring timely and engaging posts across social media platforms.
Creative Activation: Collaborate with in-house design and production teams to ideate, brief, and provide feedback on engaging creative assets, including videography, photography, and animations for social media activations.
Guest Engagement: Work with the online community team to monitor social media sentiments, providing insights to improve guest engagement and satisfaction.
Amplification Strategy: Collaborate with the wider marketing team to maximize the reach and impact of social media content through strategic amplification.
Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives that align with the brand's voice and engage audiences across various social channels.
Content Planning: Assist in developing and managing content calendars that align with business priorities and activation schedules.
Influencer Collaboration: Support the Influencer partnership team during events and activations.
Performance Measurement: Track, analyse, and report on social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of activations and inform future strategies.
Leadership Support: Work closely with the Social Media Manager and the leadership to ensure all projects are delivered on time and meet the desired objectives and KPIs.
Education & Experience
Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in relevant field or Minimum of 3 years experience with a global social or digital agency, or in-house.
Social Media Expertise: Demonstrated experience in social media management with a strong background in content creation and strategy.
Project Management: Proven experience in project management and working with agencies.
Language Skills: Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Background in aviation, travel, or lifestyle is preferable.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with social media publishing and performance tools.
Design Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator, or a keen eye for design.
Dynamic Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and able to travel to events and activations.
