Job Title: Site Supervisor
Job Summary: As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, enforcing site safety regulations, and maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities: Construction Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and specifications. Monitor progress and quality of work performed by subcontractors and tradespeople. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Team Management: Assign tasks and responsibilities to on-site personnel, including subcontractors, laborers, and tradespeople. Provide guidance, support, and training to site workers to enhance productivity and performance. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among site team members. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site. Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and adherence to safety regulations. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA and other regulatory standards. Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and construction techniques to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of construction to identify and address deficiencies. Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to implement corrective actions and resolve quality issues promptly. Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between project stakeholders, subcontractors, and the construction team. Provide regular progress updates to project managers and clients, including written reports and verbal updates. Document site activities, including daily logs, work orders, and change orders, to maintain accurate project records.
Qualifications: Graduation or equivalent; additional education or certification in construction management is a plus. Proven experience of minimum 4 years working in a construction supervisory role, preferably in commercial or residential construction. Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials. Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and construction management software. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
