SAFETY OFFICER

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment at the construction site. This role involves implementing and monitoring safety policies, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. The Safety Officer plays a critical role in preventing acciden.

• Safety Management:
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Training and Education:
• Conduct safety training sessions for all site personnel, including new employee orientations and regular refresher courses.
• Promote safety awareness and encourage safe work practices through ongoing education and training programs.
• Maintain records of all safety training and certifications.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation to regulatory authorities and company management.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Emergency Preparedness:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills and exercises to ensure readiness.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all site safety and emergency response activities.
• Risk Assessment:
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Develop and implement job safety analysis (JSA) and hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) processes.
• Monitor and review risk assessments and control measures to ensure their effectiveness.
• Communication and Coordination:
• Liaise with site management, workers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on safety-related matters.
• Ensure effective communication of safety policies, procedures, and expectations to all site personnel.
• Promote a positive safety culture through regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and open communication channels.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer on construction sites in Dubai.
• Proven track record of managing safety in large-scale construction projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
• Ability to conduct safety training and presentations effectively.

Salary:

• The salary range for this position is AED 6,000 to AED 12,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.

Working Conditions:

• The position is based on a construction site, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• The role may involve occasional travel to other sites or company offices.
