Job Description

The Site Engineer for Interior Fit-Out will be responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of interior construction and fit-out projects. This includes ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The individual will coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision and Coordination:
• Oversee daily site activities, ensuring adherence to the project schedule and quality standards.
• Supervise the work of subcontractors and labor teams involved in interior fit-out works (e.g., partitioning, ceilings, flooring, MEP installations).
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out in compliance with design specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure all details are followed and resolve any on-site issues that arise.
• Project Planning and Execution:
• Prepare and review work schedules, material requirements, and manpower allocation in line with project timelines.
• Monitor progress of interior fit-out works, identifying potential delays and taking corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment required for the fit-out work.
• Assist in preparing and tracking project budgets, ensuring costs remain within the allocated budget.
• Quality Control and Assurance:
• Ensure that all fit-out work meets the company's quality standards and complies with local building codes and regulations.
• Inspect completed work for defects and ensure that any issues are addressed promptly.
• Perform final inspections upon completion and ensure snagging issues are resolved before project handover.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance:
• Implement and monitor health and safety protocols on site to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
• Client and Stakeholder Liaison:
• Maintain regular communication with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports and project documentation for internal and external use.
• Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
• Address any technical or logistical challenges that may arise during the project.
• Resolve conflicts between contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in interior fit-out projects, preferably in a site engineering or construction role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out processes, materials, and systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues effectively and promptly.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing work and identifying any discrepancies or issues.
• Teamwork: Able to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Experience with large-scale fit-out projects for commercial or retail spaces.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
